Positioning Aid for eye lens protection

This is a silicone positioning aid for lens protection in computed tomography.

Due to the soft, skin-friendly silicone, it fits the skin optimally and due to its own weight it remains stable against the head without slipping during head movements.

Sustainability has also been taken into account. This makes the single-use lens protector reusable. The positioning aid can be disinfected with common products. This also saves a lot of costs - here is a calculation example: 200 CCT = 200 x lens protector for 10 euros each = 2,000 euros. 1x silicone cover for lens protector + 1x lens protector = 210 euros. Savings = 1790 euros!

Due to the perfect spacing of the lens protector without compression of the foam, the artifacts are significantly reduced. This means that it can also be used for NNH and facial cranial examinations without any problems, thus offering even more protection for the patient.

Even if the scanner already has a dose reduction integrated in the area of the lens of the eye, it can be used to reduce the dose to the patient even further in order to offer even better protection and service.

The recommendation is to replace the lens protector and the positioning aid after 200 CT.

The scope of delivery consists of the silicone cover, suitable for the lens protection of Somatex. The eye lens protection is available on request.
